Do you have a passion for cultural exchange? For making the most of every opportunity set in front of you? For exploring new places, new ideas, pursuing your goals, developing professional skills, and making a difference in your community? Greenheart Exchange is ecstatic to announce a revamped initiative just for you – The Greenheart Fellowship!
Over the past few years, Greenheart Exchange has gone through many changes – both internal and external– to grow and adapt to our changing world. We’ve changed our name from CCI Greenheart to Greenheart Exchange. We’ve launched our first cohort of the Teach USA program and look forward to many successful years to come. We were recognized for our outstanding programming as the Best Education Abroad Provider at the 2018 Global Youth Travel Awards during the 27th World Youth and Student Travel Conference (WYSTC). We launched a new website, a new Greenheart Club site, and new social media handles! We’ve focused on advocacy and spotlighting the importance of our programs. And through it all, we’ve been motivated and inspired by the people that make these programs happen… our participants!
As we reflected on the past year and all of the wonderful iterations of our programming, we went back to the drawing board to ensure all of our initiatives were fulfilling our mission in the best way possible and decided it was time to shake things up a bit – and thus the Greenheart Fellowship was born! Previously known in a different format as the Ambassador Scholarship, the Fellowship is a chance for Greenheart Exchange participants to make a visible, transformational impact on the cultural exchange community. We’ve been inspired by everything our past Ambassadors have been able to accomplish and wanted to create programming that helped YOU take your potential even further!
So…. What does that look like?
As a part of the Greenheart Fellowship, you will join a diverse network of professional exchange program participants who will explore interests, develop professionally, interact virtually with one another and Greenheart staff, gain leadership skills, and develop initiatives that will leave a lasting impact in the communities you visit. You will create your own timeline and craft your own projects, completing two tasks in each of the following categories by the end of your Exchange Visitor Program:
- Create Stories
- Amplify Stories
- Greenheart Club Use
We have plenty of suggestions for how you can meet those goals (check out the application for some ideas!) but at the end of the day… it’s up to you! YOU get to craft your fellowship – based on your interests, strengths, and goals. We look forward to your creativity! AND based on successful completion of the Fellowship, you will be eligible for a monetary reward (see the website for more details).
If you are a Greenheart Exchange participant embarking on the Work and Travel, Career Advancement, or Teach USA programs, we hope you’ll apply on our website – applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis depending on their program dates. We can’t wait to see what amazing, creative, and engaging things you’ll do to celebrate cultural exchange!
